ID Defender+

Get all the features of ID Responder+ plus the following essential monitoring and prevention services, available 24/7. Whereas ID Responder+ helps you after your identity is stolen, ID Defender+ can also help you minimize the chances of identity theft:

Ongoing identity and credit monitoring via the ID Defender+ portal where you can track your profile and respond to alerts.

IDRiskIQ, a tool that helps you assess your susceptibility to fraud based on your demographics, online behavior and devices you use. After taking an assessment, this tool will provide you a score as well as feedback on how to protect yourself against cybercrime and identity fraud.

Digital security software to strengthen your online security. This suite of software helps protect you from keylogging, phishing attacks, unauthorized screen captures and ransomware attacks.

Fraud alert placement on your credit file for one year if your identity is at risk.

Education resources to help you minimize your identity theft risk.

Assistance with opting out of credit mailings and marketing calls.

Look-back search for previously undetected cases of identity theft.

ScamAssist® provides direct access to identity theft specialists who can help identify fraudulent communication and phishing schemes – before you click – to help keep your identity safe.

ScamAssist® will help determine if an offer or solicitation received is an apparent scam, from a malicious source, or otherwise unsafe. If you receive an email, text message, phone call or piece of mail that you're unsure of, or if you want to know whether a website is legitimate, ScamAssist researchers will:

  • Investigate a message for signs of fraud
  • Compare offers to known scams and phishing schemes
  • Provide a detailed assessment of what is believed to be the level of legitimacy of the solicitation message
  • Provide relevant educational resources on common scams

 

Members can use ScamAssist up to four times a year on a variety of solicitations:

  • Email
  • Websites or Web Links
  • Flyers
  • Phone Calls or Voice Mailings
  • Text (SMS) Message
  • Direct Mail

ID Defender+ Service Limitations

 

1. Use of PhishBlock®, DataScrambler® and RansomStop™ software requires that the Member agrees to the Online Data Protection Suite End User Agreement when accessing these Services.

2. The Online Data Protection Suite has a version supported on Windows operating systems and a version supported on Mac OS X operating systems. Both versions support PhishBlock® and DataScrambler®. The RansomStop™ feature is only available under the Windows version. The anti-Screen Capture feature is only available under Windows version.

3. This Service provides a maximum of ten (10) downloads for family/couple plans and 5 downloads for individual plans.

4. The Online Data Protection Suite software is designed to protect the Member online, but like all products designed to combat malicious software, the licensor cannot guarantee that the software will be 100% effective.

5. Neither Iris nor the licensor guarantee that the software will be free of all errors or bugs, or free from interruption or failure.

6. Members should not consider the software as the sole means of protecting themselves from identity theft and they should take other prudent measures to reduce risk such as the use of up-to-date anti-virus software, safekeeping of passwords, careful use of payment cards and the shredding of important documents.

7. Members should therefore acknowledge that, whilst the Iris of the software guarantees that the software is of satisfactory quality and is reasonably fit for the purpose for which it is supplied, Members are responsible for the selection of the software as suitable for their purposes in the context of their overall approach to the risk of identity theft.

8. Neither Iris nor the licensor are responsible for any problems arising from the unsuitability of the software for the Member’s purposes unless that is due to Iris’s misrepresentation, misdescription, failure to provide the Online Protection Suite in a manner that it operates for the intended purpose, or some other breach of duty on the part of the licensor or on the part of Iris.

9. Neither Iris nor the licensor are responsible for payment of any ransomware demands.

 

ScamAssist® Service Limitations:

 

1. Members should be aware that no system used to detect scammers, malware or dangerous items is entirely successful or foolproof. Accordingly, Members who use ScamAssist® and any findings and/or safety assessment provided to Members in the content of the email do so entirely at the Members’ own risk.

2. Iris’s ScamAssist® services are provided to Members on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Without limiting the foregoing, IRIS AND ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, AND SUBSIDIARIES DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT IN CONNECTION WITH SCAMASSIST®.

3. Iris may use or rely upon third-party websites or resources to perform ScamAssist®. By using ScamAssist®, the Member acknowledges and agrees that Iris is not responsible or liable for: (i) the availability or accuracy or effectiveness of such websites or resources; or (ii) the content, products, or services on or available from such websites or resources. Usage by Iris of such resources, or links to such websites or resources that may be found on the Iris website, does not imply any endorsement by Iris of such websites or resources or the content, products, or services available from such websites or resources. By using ScamAssist®, the Member acknowledges sole responsibility for and assumes all risk arising from Member’s reliance on Iris’s findings based on Iris’s use of any such websites or resources.
